[QUOTE="cowsrus, post: 450214, member: 6485"] Last winter I used a 3 way mix from the local elevator consisting of corn gluten, wheat midds and soybean hulls, all pelleted. The protein was 14.5 % I used it for feeding my cows and I also used it to creep feed calves. Once I filled it with corn gluten because they were out of the 3-way and the only thing I noticed was that they did not eat as much as they had been. I went back to the 3 way mix and I was really satisfied with and I will use it again this year.I would not be afraid to use any one or two of those byproduct feeds by itself. I talked to guys who were at the elevator who used only corn gluten and guys who used only soybean hulls, But I stayed with the 3 way mix because the guys at the elevator said it was a more complete feed.It also had trace amounts of calcium, phosphoris and potassium also.
