The Trinity River Is a 710 mile river that is the longest river that flows entirely within the U.S. State of Texas. It rises in extremely northern Texas a few miles South of the Red River. The headwaters are separated by the high bluffs On the Southern side of the Red River.
The River flows through Ft. Worth ,Dallas area then into East Tx then on South And empties into the Gulf of Mexico south east of Houston.

It should it has been raining for 40 days and nights GB
I have seen wet years but it has been a long time this reminds of 04 when we got a 100 inches then followed by three snowfalls that winter and Rita the next summer. We are going to get over a 100 inches this year by a bunch at the rate we have been blessed this year so far.
We got almost 5 inches last Wednesday 3 Sat 1 Sunday and we are already past 2 for today.

I've never given a thought to where the Trinity starts until now. Never would have thought it was around Bowie.
The watershed is huge for the Trinity it is also on the side of the state with the majority of the rainfall. It is long enough that one end can be a trickle and toward the gulf a raging flood.

Something yellow is in the sky the phenomenon appeared about 30 minutes ago.

This is the highest I have ever seen it up on my property on the lake, and folks its still rising. They are gonna gave to cut loose with more water soon or they will crack that dam!

I'm going to try to drive over tomorrow and get a pic of Livingston gates from the bridge below the dam.

Had a cardio appointment today--a miserable drive back from Humble, but doesn't look like we got more than a couple inches.
Hope they didn't get a bunch up river tho--I don't need no more high water & I still got one more fence to clean off and straighten back up. That Bakaert gaucho held just fine, tho I can't say the same for the tee posts that had water running on them for 3 days. They kinda bent over a bit. If that had been older style low carbon wire, it would have stretched 10 feet.
All this crap was swept off my brother's place onto our shared fence.

I guess that little head water on the Brazos in New Mexico negates the "totally within Texas" part. The Brazos is 1280 miles long and mostly (almost entirely) within the state.
