bull calves weaned about #225 are going for here about $270, newborns, 3 days old are going from anywhere from $165 to $200. Why they are so high right now, no clue. I sold a batch here last month, 4, #225, got $1205 gross. I sell for a number of reasons, lack of feed, hay, room, just plain need the money.I haven;t sold newborn bull calves, but I ran into someone who said I should sell them at 3 days old, instead of hassling with them, get just $70 less, but money is money, and they aren't that much work to raise up, when conditions are right.
