We had our first 3 50% Murray Grey x 50% Angus bred heifers back in 2011, and two of them are still in production currently. As first calf heifers, all three weaned bull calves that were over 600 lbs. We have not had to designate a single one of their calves for our beef program because their bull offspring have been a favorite amongst commercial breeders and their heifers have been top notch. The first photo shows a 9 year old 50% cow with her 3 month old bull calf. The second photo shows another 50% cow with her 5 month old heifer calf.
