I just brought home a 4 month old Holstein heifer on Monday night. She was on silage, so I am (over a weeks time) switching her to; hay, grass, and a little bit of calf grain. She is eating great and actually picks out everything but the silage (I still give it to her to eat though, and she eventually does). She kind of has some diarrhea which is expected with switching feed, but is there anything I can give her so she doesn't get sick or a tummy ache? Like an antibiotic or anything? I don't want her to get enterotoxaemia or coccidosis or anything else she could get! She is lively (BAR), drinking water, and eating..but I want to be proactive so she doesn't die or anything!! Thank you :)
