    cow peas

Saw it used as a repeated crop in Danielsville, GA with great results. I have used similar here in years prepping land to plant to permanent forages in later years.

    Likely a different pea.

    cow peas

Drill them in. The best use is in a mix. Bin run corn, sudan/sudex, a forage millet, sunflowers, sunn hemp... let the seed cost per acre be the control. the extra forages give a place for the peas to run up. You need to use time grazing for multiple passes or strip graze to spread out the time...

    Minerals

Looks like the Zn to Cu ratio is out of whack. But I would have to go back to the files and see the industry recommendations.

    Can cattle OD on minerals

Where is the water? Minerals close to the water will get overconsumed.

    cattle body structure/condition

We don't worm anything over 3 YO and usually just work first half heifers if they are thinner than the rest. Over time, the weaned calves usually have a FEC to indicate that no worming is needed. Worming all animals on a schedule is a sure way to increase resistance to wormers in the parasite...

Why not just bump up dietary copper. Don't you know that Erryl Flynn would have enjoyed a copper necklace!

    Mineral tubs

Some problems from the lack of minerals (as if we don't already know!): low calving rate, fescue toxicity, grass tetany, hoof rot, cracked hooves, red hair, long hair, low fertility... The #1 mineral that cattle need is H2O. That might sound dumb but the most weight increase we ever saw was...

    Vaccines for the bull.

"The rest had the "just once PMH in", Covexin 8 and cattle master gold lp5. All of these vaccines are "use all at opening and toss."" I was not aware that Covexin 8 was a open and toss. You might want to check that. My Vet has warned that the CDT type vaccines, which I think would include...

    Sizing up the bull

If you want to trick the animals with lesser facilities, you feed them (bait) into the corral and then only exit them though the chute to get more feed as they exit. They learn the pattern. Like TAI and such, a reward at the outlet can make a lot of difference for some animals. But I still say...

    Bleach for scours

The filamentous algae is the worst to deal with. I had several tanks that the birds brought it in. I don't remember exactly but I did use a lot of bleach and got it gone but I didn't expect cows or sheep to use it for several weeks. Maybe I drained and refilled after a number of days.

    Cattle wormer

You use a larger sample on cattle - 4 gm rather than 2 gm on sheep and goats. You can look for piles or collect direct from the source.
