    Sun over us

The forecast now for Texas is sun over our area. Only time will tell if people will swarm us…I think if there is any money to be made it will be pulling people out of the mud…

    Neighbor looking at Solar Farm

Our lease is 25 years with the option of 50. They do pull up the panels when done.

    Neighbor looking at Solar Farm

Wires. There is another company around us that did put sheep on it. I dont think it worked out. The larger one is going to be 18,000 acres and the number of sheep it would take is probably unreachable for a long time. We're working with them to help come up with a solution other than just...

    Neighbor looking at Solar Farm

Many people around us refused to even talk with the solar people. I found the solar people very nice. I understand that if you have a house and just a few acres, the solar people may not be interested in your place. But a lot of people around us got left behind and the farm was still built...

    Buc-ee's

I love their jalapeno cheese puffs... i could eat them till i vomit. Use to like to get coffee there, but they replaced all their popular creamers with 'healthy' versions. When i complained, they explained that people wanted healthier options, i came back with, "Who the hell goes to buc-ees for...

    Neighbor looking at Solar Farm

One, they will be the quietest neighbors you'll ever have. Two, dont expect things to stay the same if you dont own the land. Three, you might could sell to the solar farm, they pay good prices.. Or heck, lease your land to them, and buy somewhere else. The worst mistake people make when this...

    Correction

And then there are the people who take a thread they don't like and go off on another conversation. Great way to bury someone's thread and done often here.

    More solar farm

Except that most of the land used here is subpar pasture. So much of the crop land used was eroding away, so the panels will save that.. Grass will still be grown under the panels.

    More solar farm

I dont know if they are paying that much.. But, might be different where you are. We're not getting that much, wished we were though....lol If you hate the look of panels and thats what they are paying, you're better off taking it and finding a new place because you'll be surrounded by them...

    More solar farm

When people from the city are buying up land, chopping it up and selling it to people who just pile junk on it, i'd rather see a solar farm.. Quietest neighbors you'll ever have... Luckily though, the land we put in it you cant see from our house. We're insulated from it...

    More solar farm

A guy down the road on 410 just put in a 400,000 dollar trailer house. Its a triple wide. He'll have solar panels across the road from him, but, i bet no one told him. He paid 25,000 for his 5 acre plot. The other 5 plots have a variety of crap on them. From campers to a used doublewide. The...

    More solar farm

They've made 3 sub stations. One is in Cunningham south of 196... Another is off 410 in Halesboro. The third is being built and its off 410 in Rugby. That one is for Delilah 2 and is waiting for the supply chain to get going again. I was wrong about hearing them ramming rods, it was tracks on a...

    Solar Farms

I saw this linked to my solar farm thread. Did this farm ever go in? How many acres did they want of your place for that price? If it went in and you passed on it, hum...... cant raise cattle for that...

    More solar farm

Its the monticello lines they planned on using, but most of their lines are run along it. Johntown lines are old and tired and so far they arent using them. You can see the lines crossing 71 going south.
