i'm not partial to angus myself, but ala is correct in his assessment, the breeders (so-called) are at blame here........

i have found the red angyus asso. here in oklahoma near impossible to contact for information. awhile back i called an officer of the club to find some members that might have breeding bulls available but to no avail. i ended up buying another breed...........

from my experience, i would buy from a breeder. i have bought good quality cattle at the sale barn - but. the hereford cattle we have had have all been easy calvers and good mama cows with plenty of milk, bred to angus bulls we've never had to assist in a birth. never had any problem with the...

depends on what you mean by good bull; last week i looked at a couple registered limosines @ $1500 each/15 months old. they were real fine bulls and definatly what i would classify as "good".........i don't know if the herefords are running more, but i would look around a little bit before...

my thoughts exactly young feller..........stay away from char bulls on heifers and you'll be happier in the long run.
