I have a holestein/jersey. She has been in milk for about 4 months. Im feeding coastal square bales that weigh about 45 to 55lbs a bale. She weighs about 850 to 900lbs. My question is, how much hay should she go threw in a day or a week. Right now i think she is eating about 1/4 of a bale a day...

I have a jersey/holestein 1st calf heifer. Im new to having a nurse cow. My question is, am i able to turnout the cow with the calves or do they need to be seperated until time of feeding. And if i have them turned out with them, what problems could arise from it. Thank you
