I guess I may not have explained myself very well. My question is how much time on feed do you think it will take to "rebound". They pretty much lost all of their condition while on grass and hay this winter. I want them to regain their optimum musculature and finish prior to harvesting.

I had a group of heifers that I fed grain up to about 900-1000# then turned out on grass with the bull. A couple came up open and I think I may want to finish them out for freezer beef. Nine months later, they are pretty leaned out and don't weigh any more than they did. How long on feed...
