I sowed about 8ac with Blansa, OG, and Timothy last fall clover is 6" or so tall and fairly thick, we will see. This is my first go round with it, im going to let it seed out to build a seed bank, then you are supposed to be able to cut it right for 3 years then let it seed out again.

I think I'll just stick with the Grazon HL, I don't want to kill a bunch of trees.

not in tending on reseeding yet gonna have to get some of the weeds under control first, have another big problem that Grazon won't fix , it is Japanese Stilt grass only thing I can find to kill it is Milestone and the cheapest I can find it is $112 a quart.

Yes I hear you on the clover deal, I’ve got 90/ac I need to get cleaned up got a lot of bull nettle 2-4D won’t hardly kill that. I’m using grazon next HL now but was wondering the difference between that and the P&D? I can get the clover back after I get it cleaned up some.

Can anyone tell me the difference between grazon next HL v grazon P&D. I found a generic for the p&d for $25/gal versus $55 for the grazon next hL. If it’s close to the same thing I may start using it instead.

That would be correct, need room on the sides for water run off and to dry off.

There is no grazing restrictions on 2-4d that I know of. I do it all the time.

I’ve got twenty acres of it, starting into my 4th year on I really like it. We’ve been cutting it for hay, we are going to graze it this year. Like was said above wait till the ground is at least 60 to sow it I just ran a pasture harrow over it to cover the seed, let it seed out in the fall and...

I’ve had real good luck with it, this is the third year with on the 18ac I sowed it on, let it go to seed and it will be back next year. My cattle eat the fire out of it, I tested it last year I think it was about 14% protein and the tdn was real good. Mine is Red River.

I thought we may be short but the 15ac of crabgrass and 8ac of sundangrass that we just baled yesterday made 85 5x5 bales, the biggest problem I had the last little while is keeping the baler running.
