    Restoring pasture

One side of the pasture with Grazon Next and one side without. It is the same fence in the background of both pics. Note it killed the horse nettles, pigweed, poke weed, fennel. The black stuff on the fence is the knee high microstegium. One more shot in April for buttercups.

Any of you going to put a little Nitrogen on this fall?

Thank you. I also have a buttercup problem. Put it on too late to help with that. Since you said it worked well in April on those I will try at that time for next years Grazon. Alabama Cooperative Extension guide ANR 1457 has some really good pictures for identification of japanese stiltgrass/microstegium. Map also shows where it can be found. Considered invasive.

Round Bale Yard for Spring Feeding?

Before I put down any gravel, barns, etc or made any changes that cost $$ I would look at the sons list. The list might be so onerous that you decide to walk. We also own our land but rent out adjacent properties. On one of them the son is also a pain. I put up a new fence last year on our...

    Who doesn't fertilize?

:???: Dad used chicken litter for decades on the pastures. I dont like it because of the nettles and buttercups, etc so when we took over two years ago we quit using it. Was thinking of fertilizing next spring and wondering if most people use liquid and if so what kind? Used grazon next over...
