For what its worth my recommendation would be a 2011-2016 f250 or f350 with the 6.2, and if you are able to do some shopping around try to find one with the 4.30 rear end (they are tough to find used though). Good enough for occasional short hauling up to 15k, decent mileage and are getting to...
