Kubota M7060 high/low shift lever problem

I believe it has a lever on the side of the case with a roll pin type connection in it. This may have came out. On my 7040 the lever has to be lubricated every now...

    Hydraulic hiccups with JD tractor

Air in the system was my original thought. Is it leaking fluid anywhere? Are all connections tight? Was the fluid at the correct level when you received the machine? Was the fluid you drained out milky in color like it had water in it?

    Headgate or squeeze chute

If you have a cow sit down and get wedged in the bottom, you will know why you have/need a side exit. Or worse get one upside down. Sh** happens.

    Headgate or squeeze chute

A squeeze is priceless when you need it. It makes working small calves much easier when its narrowed down or when a cow get rambunctious. A side exit is also needed but you can build that into your alley way. Its a small investment in the long run. Pour a slab for it to sit on and put a...

    Consignment Sale

Some around here just give discounts for cash or checks on large ticket items. Dentists around here give 10% off for cash or check. Trades people are almost always willing to give a cheaper price for cash.

Three Point Sprayer I Keep Looking At

I have one like the low profile one in the third picture except mine is 15 years old. I have always kept it under cover. https://heavybiltmfg.com/sprayers/ Its a simple design that is made very similar by a number of manufacturers. I have it set up to spray 14 to 15 gallons of fluid per...

Three Point Sprayer I Keep Looking At

I would use a gps guidance system instead of a foam marker. Sure makes it a lot easier on irregular shaped pastures. I also like trailer models but my ground is rolling. I use one with 330 gallon capacity.

    Cattle chute neck bar ideas?

You could modify your chute with a couple small weldments and use a chain like on a Priefert. Pretty simple design that is safe. Pickup on the attached video at about 15:30 to see how it works.

    calf catcher skid steer mounted

Buy a good squeeze chute instead and run them in it at 2 to 3 months of age. There is nothing wrong with waiting and doing it in a safe environment for you and the calf.

Recommendations on buying new no-till drill

I have had just about as much success planting oats and rye grass just by using the old style conventional type drills like the John Deer B series. Graze it hard or shred it close, use a cultipacker or a roller to press the seed down, pray for rain.

    Grease Gun Question

I have 4 grease guns. Its embarrassing but that is what it takes do do my disc and and old John Deere planter. One is dedicated with a 90 Degree attachment. One has a flex hose. One has a rigid tube. One has a flex hose and a LockNLube. The last one gets used as much as possible but as...

Case IH JX 95 Fuel Issues

When I had problems with my Kubota I tried a lot of filter changes and hose changes with no help. Turned out to be a small clog of spider web type fuzz in a small metal elbow coming coming out of the water separator. This elbow was where you attached your rubber fuel line.

    Tractor roll offs

One thing I have tried to start doing more often is to just turn the wheels to where it won't run over me if the brake does fail. I had my side x side pin me up against a gate one time. Luckily the ground was fairly flat and I was able to wiggle out. Makes you think though.

    New Holland Powerstar question

Some have a "detent" that will move them back automatically. The others you need to do by hand. Leaving them all the forward puts stress on the seals it seems.

Opinions on PJ gooseneck vs Quality gooseneck

chevytaHOE67 is correct. It is all in the prep. I have a Kerney Welding 32' double tandem that is powder coated and it has held up very well even on the safety chains. Now the lumber on the bed is another story.
