    Skid Steers

I just take the door off of mine for all but the winter. Don't use the A/C, and appreciate the heater in winter!

    Skid Steers

The Loegering VTS system also has a torsion mount system where it bolts onto the front "axle". This is actually a pretty good, durable, simple suspension system, and improves the ride substantially (like when you go over a solid bump in the road... frozen ground or maybe a rock that hits each...

    Skid Steers

I have one of the biggest skid loaders made... a Mustang 2105, 110 hp. I bought it with wheels on it, shortly after that I bought a set of Loegering VTS tracks for it, after having rented a Takeuchi CTL (really tough well built reliable Japanese built machine, its why the rental places and...

    Who wanted JLTrent's 7.3L?

Yup. Before they had that problem, the Triton had spark plugs blowing out of the holes. I've got an 03 V-10, had to put new replacement heads on it. Only three threads in that aluminum head holding the spark plug... so then they loosen up and tear the threads out of the hole on the way out...

    Round bale shredder

Used Haybuster Bale Shredders On TractorHouse.com Didn't have an option for a 2655... 2660 was as close as I could plug in. Seems to be a very similar machine by the specs.

    The joy was short-lived

Probably anything the cake wagon and the siren aren't working on... he follows the motto, "If they won't work the way I want to work 'em, they don't belong in my herd"!

    The joy was short-lived

And the point that the other many are making is that there are places where you CAN'T get the same end result with an ATV too... like up over rocky, rough country, trying to shag cattle of out of brush, and including sorting/cutting as well... no ATV/SxS can respond to and hold off an animal...

    Priefert Squeeze Chutes..anyone with advice

I have an SO1 with the HG91 headgate. I like it. Simple, seems to be reasonably durable, cost effective, gets the job done... BUT, I do wish I had the SO4 instead (larger, a couple nicer features). Not the fanciest chutes out there, but dependable for what you want/need them to do. You can...

    The joy was short-lived

That's how these things have been used for many years. Yes, it is always better for the long term life of any engine to be able to get warmed up each time it is started, and starting and stopping alot and not getting warmed up WILL result in a shorter life span than if you DID run it for longer...

    The joy was short-lived

That was the first bike I ever owned! Want to sell it for what they sold for back then? Through the years I traded up a few times, last was a Yamaha 250 (still have it), then a 250 Honda Quad, and then the Foreman 450. I can't make the two wheelers work for my cattle working because of having...

    The joy was short-lived

I put on quite a few miles on mine here too... 01 Honda Foreman that I bought used in 2021 when it had just turned over to 3000 miles (so it HAD been clocking about 150 miles a year)... I've got almost 7000 on it right now. I've also got a Geo Tracker that I use instead of a SxS that gets about...

    New tractor

I'd second what SBMF said. My dad had a 6400, he was retiring, and wanted me to buy it. Very nice tractor in really good shape with low hours. He brought it to my place for me to use here for a bit... I found it was just too small on power to be practical for me. I was small square baling at...

    New tractor.

I kind of grew up on the Masseys. Think we've owned all told about 15 of 'em. Still have two myself, and the home farm where I grew up still has something like 6 or so. Started out with a 165 gas w/loader and with an external front mounted hyd pump just for the loader (tractor was too small...

    New tractor.

Looks like it's gonna need a $2000 set of tires in the very near future!

Imagine towing a gooseneck with this!

Yeah, it all depends on what you will need/expect/demand them to be doing most of the time. If you rarely pull a trailer, you'll probably get by with a 1/2T, and probably can get by with a 2WD. If you live in the north, having 4WD is always nice, if you want to get anything done much at all...

Sticker in a big mine payloader I was running at one time... "Any piece of equipment can be destroyed if you try hard enough!"

    Probably an excellent recommendation.

Imagine towing a gooseneck with this!

I agree... but you definitely want the braking system to have the physical capability of being able to lock those wheels.... or you'll not have enough braking capability to control in an emergency. You may not actually force them to "lock"... but you want them to BE ABLE to... and not be...
