    Questions about cattle rubs

I built a 4X7.5 mineral/salt feeder this year from an idea I got looking at a brochure form P H White complete with "A" roof. Hung 10' rubs on sides and 5' on ends with Flyps. Haven't treated as often as I should :dunce: but fly control is good consdering.

    Round Bale Feeders

You can get along fine with the cheaper feeders if you move them out of the mess. I'd get two of them but would also buy an unroller for about $800.00 and roll them out if you have enough land to feed on.This scatters the manure and builds the soil instead of making mud holes that need to be...

    problems stretching fence

` Don't make the same mistake we did once and start stapling before you check all the way back.We pulled two rolls with a 4X4 tractor and stopped when the wheels spun then started nailing without checking .The further we went back the more loose the wire was.Still turned cattle but looked sloppy.

    Chicken litter wait time?

I would wait until after some good rains so the litter would have time to get into the ground and toward the roots.Probably have less chance of coccidiosis.Make sure you are feeding magnesium to brood cows.
