I would think you would need a tall deer fence. And I would try to set up a yearly sale on the farm with taller facilities then the local cattle barn

Calves

Well my first cow had her third calf today. Exactly 365 days from her last one! A nice little black baldy heifer from a limousine bull.

I seem to have a much more negative attitude towards downers then most on here. But after working with dozens and seeing very poor success rates. I have completely run out of drive to waste on downers I'd just shoot her and save yourself a lot of trouble!

I'd try giving her some calcium and see if that helps. I hate to be a pessimist but if the calcium doesn't help then I wouldn't waste to much time on her

They definitely stay booked way out. But they will call people early if a spot opens up. I went with several people who only had to wait a couple weeks

I use a green hot shot on the dairy. I'm not sure how old it is but it doesn't work real well anymore (Though it's probably used a lot more then most of you use yours)
