If you live in Northern USA, the Aurora Borealis will be visible next 2 nights.

We could see them fairly well here in east central Ohio as well. By the naked eye there really isn’t much to look at, it looked like maybe there was a town north of us, slightly lighting up the sky. But theres no town there. But when you take a picture, it looks like its light outside and the...

    Gaiters?

I wear chaps when cutting wood for the same reasons, boots get filled with wood chips and makes a mess when I take my boots off. Not to mention all the crap stuck in my socks. You can get a decent pair of gaiters for less than $20, probably worth a try.

    Ridiculous Livestock prices in Canada

There will always be a couple stupid high prices on online ad sites. They’re just trolling for idiots that don’t know any better.

    Ridiculous Livestock prices in Canada

Any one in particular? I see a couple crazy cattle prices, but most ads seem pretty much what I’d expect in Canadian dollars.

What makes a footprint like this?

A running rabbit can have a 5’ stride, but the print would look different vs sitting. The feet would be spread out with 4 individual prints when running. Squirrels are similar but smaller feet of course. Could be that the snow has made some details hard to see.

What makes a footprint like this?

No, it would still look like a deer track. The toes would usually be splayed out, but it would still look like a deer track. When you say the fence wasn’t touched, what do you mean? I’m not sure how bears cross woven wire fence, I assume they climb over or under? Maybe climb the post and then...

Yes, I understand how the black color works. Its a genetic variation that is primarily found in the jungles of central America. A few have been seen in western Mexico, but its extremely rare. The odds of such a rare animal traveling to TN unnoticed, and then posing in an open field in the broad...

I'm sure no jaguar expert, but I'm fairly certain the vast majority, if not all of black jaguars are in the jungle areas of central and south America.

Can you provide another case of a BLACK jaguar walking from southern Mexico to the middle of the US? I sure have never heard of it happening.

What makes a footprint like this?

Looks like the track has been snowed in a bit, so it's not perfect. But pretty sure I count 5 toes.

What makes a footprint like this?

Yeah, if it was running that would probably be about right. And if it had just crossed a fence it would probably be running.

What makes a footprint like this?

Hard to get a reference, but it looks like a rear foot bear track in that pic.

But in this case it would mean walking over 1000 miles into a part of the world where they have never existed in history. Seems a bit far fetched.

Not sure why I’m surprised that people still fall for this stuff. Its a black jaguar, and it sure as hell didn’t walk up from southern Mexico to TN. Its either captive, or perhaps an escapee.

    Horned Cattle

Of the half dozen or so custom butchers around, none have individual pens. I would assume very few do, these are very small family owned shops with limited space and money.

    Heated GLOVES

The rechargable hand warmers are the way to go if you can put them in pockets or a hand muff. They don’t require a good air supply unlike the disposable. But the disposable work better if you have gloves or mittens that have a pouch for them. The rechargable are a bit too large to fit...

    Christmas Cards

I used to send out quite a few, 15 or so. As the kids grew and things got busier, I decided to only send cards to those that sent us cards. I’m down to one per year.

New Jersey kills gas powered vehicles

Its mosty political grandstanding. The current figures can take the “credit” for making a stand, but its far enough out that when it has to be repealed they’ll be long gone.
