    high priced funnel butt

Doc, please make note that BOTH animals pictured are bulls. The first one is the funnel butt, the second one is a more acceptable bull calf at the same age (as I know you are well aware). Just wanted to give you the heads up! Respectfully , SJ89

Shorthorn herd sire - Gal Chaser

I think I was a bit harsh...cows got out this morning..we had a couple switches go out on fans in the show barn..and to top it all off, my dreaded FFA Advisor came over this morning...not to mention the heat...I apologize for being so forward. Allow me to rephrase what I said. The bull does...

Lowline angus bull in pic - any good?

Keren, I applaud you for not lashing out. Instead you showed just how good Australian cattle are!! I know the merit of Australian cattle. I raise Shorthorns, and we have used Australian Sires. Marellan Super Dazzler and Dunbeacon Venture are two of my favorite bulls of all time, and they're...

Shorthorn herd sire - Gal Chaser

Nah, CPL, He's not a Milking Shorthorn, but he sure does look like one.

Shorthorn herd sire - Gal Chaser

I didn't think Bakenhus's raised Milking Shorthorns...and Gold Spear (Grandsire) is certainly not a Juicer..AAAANNNNDDD this guy's momma is related to one of my cows a few generations back and she is certainly not a juicer, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that "Gal Chaser" is a beef Shorthorn bull...

Lowline angus bull in pic - any good?

Doc Holliday is an excellent Lowline bull. TJ Stenger in Kentucky owns him. Look up the Lowline website and you will find a list of breeders.

    Beef Cattle

Shorthorns work for us, but then again, we don't live down south. Illinois is Shorthorn Country, you might say.

    Aubrac bull photos

These Aubracs..wow..they are truly a creature to behold. Now, I don't think that they are going to light up the show ring any time soon, but they are a magnificent beef animal. And those calves are really eye catching!! I think that if they were crossed with some British breeds, that you could...

    maine anjou

Well, look who he's out of...Heat Wave was a 130# C-Section calf. Ali is one of the best Maine bulls out there. Our calves out of him have been flat good, and all out of heifers. All under 85# and no assistance. We love that bull!

    Fullblood Maine Anjou - Opinions?

Same here, with more weight on him, you might be able to see what he is really worth. And on the club calf thing....Fullbloods aren't the hairiest beasts to ever roam the Earth. They are usually really muscular, and heavy boned though. Good luck!

    maine anjou

Yes sir we do have all of our animals tested. It's very easy to avoid having PHA or TH calves. You just don't own carriers. Or if you do have carriers, you don't breed them to other carriers. We have never had a TH or PHA calf in the 60 years that we've had shorthorns (now that time wasn't...

Wow, you guys are hard on the ol Maines! haha Nah, but really, I like them. We have a couple and they are really good mothers. Now I don't know if you guys are talking about the Red and White Fullbloods, or the Black or Red percentages/purebreds, but there is a big difference. Fullbloods...

    Bull Pics

couldn't have said it any better myself. nortexsoook, why don't you just quit pickin' on people's animals. No one asked if these bulls were gonna sire some grand champions, they just wanted to know if they could cover all their cows. And I think that they could cover the cows if they had...

Gelbvieh Bull "Big Gun" WJW Double U Freedom Fog s

No matter how good of a bull you have, I don't think he'll do the job on gettin that horse bred  lol. But really, I like the look of that guy, If he was on full feed like a show steer, he would look awesome. I think he can do the job. I would like to see a rear shot too. If he's thick...

edde_1 - Beautiful cattle and pasture!! My family is from Sweden and over here in the U.S. we raise Shorthorns, but in Sweden, the family has Charolais and Simmental. They don't have as many animals as you though! Where in Sweden are you? My family is located just south of Malmo, so they're...
