    The answer to that is no. While it's possible to die from some types of the bends, it's a different mechanism to death and can be painful. (speaking from experience - the pain part). I Have no idea why they took 22 minutes to pronounce him dead but he would've died within one or two breaths...

    After buying a new chute and setting it in place, I went to the back of the property but left the head gate open (it was in automatic catch mode). When I returned about 20 minutes later, one of the young heifers had gotten nosy. I guess the catch works.
