What mode are you using? I use portrait mode and works most times. The one's it doesn't though I have a good photo program that cleans them right up.

We've got a couple Kodak easy shares, kinda mid range in quality. I got mine as a last years model on sale, open box demo model for $250. Normally was $550. Had it 2 years now and love it. Our other Kodak is about 4 years old and still working great too.
