    Round Bale Feeder......cows makin a mess.

    i use a round bale feeder and feed square bales in it. They are shorter and i force them to clean up all they are given. Usually by the time they are ready for the next bale there is only about 10 pounds of stems left. this works for me. I am also using a horse feeder so they dont feel the urge...

    I regularly feed pumkins and other squash to my cows and they love it. As for apple if you adjust them slowly to large amounts they shouldn't have any problems. Shelby

    Several questions....

    I agree with TXshowmom unless you want to get into breeding cattle. Sell them and get a couple of steers to fatten up. They finish better Gain better and aren't nearly the hassle of heifers. PLR
