I would not put it in barrels. Do you have a trailer you could put a pickup bed tank on an tow it to pick up your fuel? I would also think that as long as you have a fuel permit for off road you can send in to the state and get the road tax back if you purchase road fuel.

There is a difference between hesston and massey. They are built in the same plant but they do have different standards for being built. hesston uses thicker metal than the massey. They also cost more. Jeff

I have used a rawhide and one person can set it up but two is better. We just purchase a W W which is a rawhide made out of shiiny metal instead of paint. One new feature is a solar charger for the battery so you dont have to unhook it to charge it. jeff

Those of you that bale with a small square what speed do you run your pto at? I had a mechanic out once and told me not to run at full pto speed he had put up alot of hay and said to count the plunger strokes per bale. I thought he was nuts but now I bale at 1850-1900 rpm and put 14 strokes...

We run a hoelscher accumulator behind a JD 348 Put the bales on edge and bundles of ten. I like it better than the old farm hand I used at the neighbors. I like the bales on edge stack better in the barns. We will put up close to 10000 a year. Thet are made in Kansas. Jeff

We are running a Deere 956. Will never go back to a sickle. Just make sure your fields are clean taking out a hub is not cheap. Jeff

On a self unload bale wagon I can not find a ground wire contact so i assume it is through the ball. I am having problems with intermittant lights working. Would putting grease on the ball help or hinder the connection? Jeff
