So how do ya feel about the responsible use of spurs, whips, stud chains, quirts, etc. While I don't endorse their being used to abuse a horse, I do see where they are, at times, needed. There aren't many I recommend for use by new riders or those who aren't trained in their use.

It appears that horse slaughter in Texas is over, barring appeal. I don't think this will effect high dollar horse prices but I do believe that the bottom will drop out of the backyard horse market. What's ya'lls opinion?

Both my horses like wild grape leaves. My QH loves acorns and unopened sunflower buds. A big ugly grade horse I used to own loved flour tortillas. A friend of mine had a QH that would fight ya for a cheeseburger. :shock:
