    Why so popular?

can anyone chime in on why this program is so popular? This is the lot 1 bull at the cattleman’s cut in Nebraska. just don’t see anything special about it or the expensive trademark bull they sold.

What AI sires progeny are you impressed with? Which are you disappointed in?

Please elaborate on the mixed reviews. I was suspicious of using him when everyone jumped on the bandwagon but haven’t heard much either way.

    Proven female makers

No not exactly the case. I’m not sure what I said to the affect of only using one bull. But the goal of the donor is indeed to use her for her females. The flushing is definitely expensive-I agree there! The literal eggs aren’t all in one basket; she’s been flushed several ways. But there will...

Thank you! I don’t understand all the positive comments around this bull. They may have good growth but structure is consistently bad.

    Proven female makers

I know. That’s why I had to ask in hopes of something to come out of the woodwork. the mention of alliance is something I’ve considered. Maybe have to try net worth and just see if I can get along with them or not. Some people have very gentle ones.

    Proven female makers

Haha thanks. Yeah they’ve about gotta be dead to know. There’s no use flushing to a new bulls if you’re just trying to create females that will stick around. Honestly I feel like it’s sad that many consider an 8 year old getting old.

Travlr, Yes and yes. was trying to figure out if I can edit original post to say that. Maybe not possible

    Proven female makers

I agree with you! I am mostly looking to mate a good donor cow who proved she should be a donor with her production in order to produce Angus females.

    Proven female makers

I would like ideas from those who have more experience: PROVEN sires to make females with as much thickness and mass as you can think of with good feet (and if that’s a tall order, at least functional feet without soundness issues). I’m looking for sires who have given you cows with longevity...

U2 Coalition or S Wrangler experience?

coalition’s dam is beautiful and from what I hear, very powerful. I saw a candid photo of him at stud last year and he’s full of muscle.

    SAV Renovation

I see where you’re coming from. I like the females better. I don’t see enough grow in them to love them (or for my customers to love them). He doesn’t work on everything for sure.

    Buying bulls

100% and they aren’t smart enough to figure it out because they keep repeating the same mistake

    Dirty sheathed bulls

I am not savvy enough to post a photo on here I guess, but I can’t hold back my frustrations on the topic any longer. Why do people sell or buy bulls with extremely loose and messy sheaths? An online sale right now has the highest bid on one of the worst sheathed bulls I’ve ever seen.

Opinions on SAV Bloodline and SAV Downpour

Many bulls only breed one or two seasons and some not at all but the general public just doesn’t hear about it. We just hear about the “hot” ones. Rainfall wasn’t that young when he died, really. I don’t think that SAV bulls probably have any shorter lifespans than any other segment of the...

    Juneau 797

What experience does everyone have with 797? Seems like availability has limited his use although some are very high on him if they’ve used him.
