That is the tetanus vaccine I used this year. Could not find Cavalry 9 or Covexin 8. Had to go with Ultrabac 8, which does not contain tetanus. I wonder what’s going on with Cavalry and Covexin?

I have some calves that should be 4-5 weight range by mid May. Was thinking if we get rain and I still have good grass, to keep on feeding them to 5-6. I will keep monitoring the market and see how it goes. If the cows are holding up, might be worth it.

Is it safe for cattle to be on pasture when fertilizer is applied. I’m thinking it’s possible they could eat a pellet.

I keep Vitaferm Concept aide 5s out, free choice and my cows don’t eat it. I’ve tried Wind and Rain and cheap stuff and they could care less. I also keep a TSC mineral block out and loose salt. Guess my cattle get enough minerals from the forage here because they don’t care about free choice...
