    Years ago I bred Simental. I raised a bull calf that was a giant 3200lbs. When he was born he only weighed 55lbs so I named him Midget Having geen raised in Rogue rive are of southern Oregon I now name my bulls Rogue

    I've harvested many a 6yr or older bull moose over the yrs! The older the tastier as long as you get them before rutting season in November. Oldest Angus bull 4yrs was no different just not much fat in the meat

    This pix will make you southern folk shiver! 40 below zero and thick "ice fog" in down town Fairbanks this morn. Ice fog is from vehicle exhaust and home heating systems. It stings bare skin and makes yer eyes burn

    I use my quad and a 5gal bucket w/ some grain. I hollar "weedaldee" several times and they come flying chasing me back to home corral

    check fever, when he stopped eating grain altogether could be bovine flue? If no fever ad a bit of vinegar to his water, I use Lucy's unfiltered up here in winter as helps with ruminant working correct.

    My cattle are all trained to fear the white polytwine electric fence. The wife and I crowd them with about a 40ft piece of the twine between us, sure nuff they will get where we want them tis way...wet or otherwise

    looks like it had eaten heavy before nightfall and slept on side too long. if that is a possibility then just run calf around for a while to break the gass
