I am agreeing with both of you. While uniformity is good at the sale barn, so is building a herd. I would just stick with the same breed of bull for a few years and uniformity will come. The way the market is now it is good to cow up.

I would stay with a black angus cross. May as well sell the buyers what they want to buy.

They are excelent crosses on red angus. I know a fella that does it and is one of the richest ranchers I know.

I have some corriente and angus cross cows, they are great mommas, i breed them to an agus bull and the make great calves. 50 bucks aint much but i'd say go for it the way the market is going you'll make money. If not you can eat them.
