    Perhaps willow? I believe willow to be fast growing if you have a decent amount of water. You might want to plant a nice stand of oaks or maples for the long run. The silver maples in our yard grow pretty fast and provide good shade.

    Maybe you could sell some timber. I don't know much about it except for what I've read. Everything i've read recommends consulting a forester. Be careful there are alot of horror stories.

    Would it be okay to winter highland cattle completely on an unharvested corn field? If it would be does anyone have any estimates of how much corn I would need to grow?
