    New stock trailer question

Considering the price of new trailers... and what I can buy one for used... I'd never pay for a new trailer. I've never been inclined to spend money just because I have it... especially when it could be put into something that doesn't depreciate.

My scenario, goes back to my Bulls thread

The court of public opinion is more fickle than a two dollar ho as the subject of a bidding war... Most of the time reason and logic take a back seat to established power and personality. That's just a fact of life. Choose your battles well and be sure your ducks are well trained.

I've seen the ground in your video and I can believe cattle on that type of land will eat things at the point of starvation.

Yeah, Id have to agree that times have changed... but I've never fed thistle or cockleburs or for that matter, supplements. I've seen a lot of those weeds standing tall in fields after the grass is grazed to the ground though. Not saying it can't be done... but I'd rather have weed free fields.

Excellent video of hardware in a cow. Caution to those who are squeamish.

For anyone that doesn't have an account and wants to watch the video, just go to youtube and enter "enoch cow with hardware disease" and go down to the image with a cow split open... Hardwired for the Happy Hunting Ground To see the wire getting pulled out you can skip to 8:30 and listen to...

    Down. And out!

I've had an old reefer that the guts are torn out of on the farm for just such an occasion. Make her into pieces and cool her in the old fridge, and then grind her up and package her. At $3.50 a pound for burger I wouldn't put her in the bone yard.

Is the calf his? Nice potential in that one.

    Craigslist cattle

The Yellowstone herd is not pure. And if there is a herd that is pure on a reservation it's been hidden away and would have to be so inbred it wouldn't be healthy. But you're right that the DNA from cattle doesn't have a lot of influence in some herds. The color being discussed these specific...

Excellent video of hardware in a cow. Caution to those who are squeamish.

Wouldn't play... but it took me to youtube and I found an interesting video about a 70 year old Rolls Royce crate engine some guy bought as scrap and he started it up. Kinda fun...

    Craigslist cattle

I don't like saying that @Rmc has a point, but there are no entirely pure bison in the United States due to genetic pollution from domestic cattle. There could be any number of other sources of white than bison DNA. At least it won't qualify for CAB...

It's your bull. I'm just curious... It's easy to be curious with nothing invested.

    Crippled bull

I just found this on the internet... "If some ligaments are torn, the stifle will repair itself in three months. If all ligaments are torn, the stifle will not repair itself and muscles will develop to compensate, which will take about five months." I don't know what your situation is, but I'd...

"Graze" thistle or cockleburs??? Maybe we use those terms differently or something, but I've never seen thistle or cockleburs be grazed... ever. I suppose it might happen if a desperate cow is enclosed on dirt for two or three weeks with some of those weeds in the enclosure, but as long as...

    This year’s spare

I'm not talking about frame or musculature at this age. The head is feminine, the bone structure.

    This year’s spare

I like the sire and the dam... The calf looks too feminine to me.

Well then you might want to consider that there is always two sides to every story... and it might be good to take any advice you get here with a grain of salt before investing in it.
