    Ready to load

Rolled 503 this week first cutting , carried over approximately 100 from last year . 750 is our comfort # . Have 10 acres we planted last year in Sudan. Not sure if we’ll put the money into that or just count on second cutting of fescue. None wet before we got it baled .

    Thoughts on selling

Don't know if those were old , barren , crippled or what . He just said his buddy sold weigh cows . If yours are still in production and doing a good job , keep them ! I kept a couple of older girls hoping for one more calf . Buried both and only got one bottle calf .

    Outside hay

Do you separate your round bales when leaving them outside or do you jam them together end to end ? Barn is full , have to leave some outside. I’ve tried it both ways and not convinced which is better . 🤔 . I never put them touching on the sides.

You just gotta like some of them

We all have one or two like that and they are money makers . Keepers for sure !

    sytrex wheel rake

We have an older Durabilt, it’s bad to do the same thing if the hay is still too green/wet or too dry/ light . I’ve said some words at it that I had to ask the Lord for forgiveness. I priced a newer model that is supposed to be the best made . Just can’t see selling 20 + calves for a rake ! 🤠

    This year’s spare

I taught school and coached for over 30 years . Boys that hit puberty early , already showed masculinity, had facial hair/ mustache; chinny whiskers never grew bigger than what they were in jr high . To me bulls are the same way , if they look like a mini herd bull at 3-6 months old they aren’t...

    This year’s spare

Can’t tell a lot about the calf yet . I don’t like them looking too mature too early . Wish he was black ! Lol

    Big Navel

Not a show person but can't you mist them at night and run a fan on them to encourage hair growth ?

    Number a bull can breed

Yes he can ! Only problem he might have if 3-4 bulled on the same day . Might not have enough bullets to go around. Lol
