What are you eating today?

Ate supper tonight at one of our towns 12 Mexican restaurants.
It’s a bit different in that it’s kind of set up like a Chipotle restaurant, but has a few more options and uses less cilantro and raw onions which is fine with me as don’t like either.
Forgot to have black beans added when I went through the line.
I get a burrito bowl when I eat there. They have good guacamole too.

We finally got around to going out to eat for our 11th anniversary. We thought about going to Texas De Brazil, but decided to wait on that, and opted to go to a Longhorn Steakhouse instead.
I have a gluten intolerance, so I couldn’t partake of the artichoke dip and flatbread that my wife got, or the complimentary bread.
I got a salad with blue cheese dressing, loaded potato and then I went big and got the 22 ounce Longhorn porterhouse steak medium rare.
Pretty good but we are just as happy with our usual Texas Roadhouse although the Longhorn is a bit quieter.

15 years ago when I posted this thread, I didn’t have a camera or a clue, but now I do.

This is dinner. Most people call it lunch, but to me and other locals, lunch is interchangeable with “snack” or the mid-day meal “dinner”.

“Supper” is the evening meal, but when invited to dinner at 18:00, I still know what they mean. Context matters, A LOT!

After eating the above meal, my belly was warm and fuzzy. I asked prompted the AI to create new lyrics for the Marshall Tucker Band song “Fire on the Mountain”. Here it is; enjoy it in your head…….

Fire in the Belly"
(To be sung to the tune of "Fire on the Mountain")
(Verse 1)
Took my appetite down to the taco stand
Had dreams about the spice and a bottle in my hand
Six long drops of a red, peppered trail
They said heaven's in the sauce, but so far it's been hell
(Chorus)
And there's fire in my belly, tightening in the chair
Coals in my buns, and there ain't no mercy there
Yeah, it's waitin' for me there
(Verse 2)
I was sweating and shaking from five to five
Drinking everything I found just to stay alive
Milk flowed free like the whiskey in the bars
Sizzlin' was the big thing, Lord, and Tums was the star
(Chorus)
And there's fire in my belly, tightening in the chair
Coals in my buns, and there ain't no mercy there
(Verse 3)
Bathroom tiles were the evening treat
Empty Charmin rolls and tears line the floor by my feet
Men have wept out loud for the sake of fun
Or just to hear the flush of their porcelain gun
(Chorus)
And there's fire in my belly, tightening in the chair
Coals in my buns, and there ain't no mercy there
(Verse 4)
Now my bathroom scales, they weep by my grave
Tears flow free for the skin I couldn't save
Wiped down in cold blood by a spice that carried fame
All for a useless and no-good habanero claim
(Chorus)
And there's fire in my belly, tightening in the chair
Coals in my buns, and there ain't no mercy there
Yeah, it's waitin' for me there...
Waiting for me there!

Listening to ‘80s music, I happened across a band called Cheap Trick, and then another called the BeeGees. My darlin told me to take it outside. She says I snore better than they sing. I’m not in a position to argue.
