So few weeks ago posted about Bet On Red, not going that route but was between 2 bulls. Hollywood 79H from Mushrush ranches and one from Diamond C Simmentals 430H. I was set on Diamond C bull and was asking friend who showed his video to me how to get semen. He had said we could. Yesterday he told me, he actually bought him and waiting for delivery. In talking he doesn’t need him until fall. He calls me today and says why don’t we go 50/50 partners. I only need him May-Aug, he fall calves needs him Nov-Jan. Seems like a winning deal, I’m sure everyone has their nightmare partner deals. But I’m seeing a shot to use a bull I wanted for Ai as natural service. Saves me drugs cost and time setting up etc. conception rates be a lot better and I don’t have to feed a bull year round. Bull is insured against death and injury.

Presently, the bull's status with the ASA is "non-registered" and "not approved" as AI sire. I would want that fixed. Probably not an issue to get that cleared up and may already be in progress. But just pointing it out.
Sometimes those insurance policies on cattle are not universal as to cause of death. May be something to understand in regard to cost vs coverage.
