Calving season is here.. first on on Wednesday, then on Thursday Clint called me at work, said he had a heifer that wasn't progressing and sent me a picture.. soles of the feet are upward, so backwards calf. I gladly play hookie and deal with cows, so I'm there in 20 minutes.. was a good pull but it all worked.. she's a good momma, and she's docile too so working with her was easy. She isn't MY cow, but she's one I've tamed of Clint's
~80 lb heifer, My bull is the sire

This one was the Wednesday calf.. Her sister last year was really nice

And then Saturday one of my cows I wasn't expecting had a heifer, this one is from my bull for sure.. I haven't seen her in person yet (I will later today).. another heifer calf, and apparently she is a little holy terror at a day old.. she's going to be a brat no doubt. This one is also from my bull

My orphan Xena was keeping the bulls company for the winter, Yesterday we brought her back to the main ranch.. I went and haltered her, it took her a bit to remember how this halter bullshyte worked, but then she followed well, the bulls paid no mind, we backed the trailer up, I walked in and she looked, sniffed, and just walked right in with me. She's really bagged up, any day now. Not positive on which bull she was bred to, I think the day she was bred was when fences got smashed and both herds ended up together
She's got quite the toupee
