How have your little excavators held up? Those would be handy.

Does that Massey have enough oil flow, and equally as important, cooling capacity, to operate it without burning up the hydraulics on the tractor? Or are you adding a separate PTO pump and cooler? Specs on the largest 1800e series says 7.5 gal./min. The ECA63 unit says 30-60 lpm... which converts to just under 8 gal/minute minimum. Can't imagine that it was designed for operating a mulcher... I don't doubt that it'll spin it... for awhile, but the system isn't intended to operate that kind of a high hydraulic demand tool, which will undoubtedly generate considerable heat... Mulchers are made for skid loaders with much more hydraulic flow and cooling capacity, I would think. Am I wrong?

I'm not using it on my tractor I moved them around with the tractor and lifted it up with a forsale sign on it... That's a 35hp tractor definitely won't run it efficiently. If I put on my 100hp new holland probably but I got it for my skid steer.

Not sure who you are referring to but mine is awesome. My only complaint is I wish it were a little bit bigger. However mine has done EVERYTHING I have asked it to do
Skyhigh bought a couple of these and I saw some just like it sell at auction and wonder how they had done so far for him. I could see one as being handy digging water lines etc.

I hired something similar (Chinese) a couple of months ago to dig in some storm water, power and water lines in the house yard. It did a great job however the controls were very twitchy especially when it got warmed up. Maybe a different grade hydraulic oil would have helped, maybe some adjustments could be made. Putting the front blade down to stabilise the machine helped to some degree.

Ones with pilot controls are really touchy if you have the rpms up.. also put a heavy spring under the joystick

Seeing that disc mulcher, I have a different version of a tree chopper. It is a Brown Tree Cutter. It is extremely heavy and the metal on it is thicker than any other implement I have. You have to back up to the trees and extreme brush and the back bars will push them over so the huge plate spinning underneath can cut with the short thick blades. It does some serious cutting.
