    Grazing soybeans

Forage soybeans produce more tonnage and growth versus a traditional AG variety bean. Iron & Clay peas would be my choice over soybeans though.

Speaking of a protein source. Ever heard of anyone feeding WCS to sheep?

Those of you with Sheep ?

What kind of hay do hair sheep need high or low quality? I feed filler hay to my cows and supplement with WCS throughout the winter, but what about getting the sheep through winter? Trying to figure out if I can feed the same hay I feed to cows to my sheep.

    Land vs Stock Market

I know alot of folks that lost alot of money due to the stock market in 09. It's a much better decision to be diversified with stocks and land in my opinion

    Barbed wire-which brand/style?

Impressive. I wish I could say I've had the same results with it. Sure is easier on the wallet

    Barbed wire-which brand/style?

It Breaks. Strands break. cows pushing on it, leaning on it or whatever other reason that would cause strands to break. My other section of fence is 12.5g red brand and I never have a problem with it.

    Barbed wire-which brand/style?

I've used the gaucho 15.5 gauge 4 point and it's garbage as far as im concerned. I dunno if was High Tensile or not, but whatever i bought I have to patch on it about once a month.

    Making a Livin'

Every person's answer will be different. Way too many variables. My very short answer is 150 momma cows

So long and good riddance ...

Yeah a couple of hundred is a full time job by itself

So long and good riddance ...

Well nobody can accuse you of not being a hands on cattleman that's for sure. You seem to have way more labor inputs than I do. How many cows were you running for it to be so much work?
