    Looking for ideas.

Then how do I get the nail out tha is cut off. We're saving (so far) about 95% of the wood. Again like 1982vett said with the sawzall cut it flush with the board or just hammer it into the board.

    Wormers, Safeguard?

If you live in southeast Texas you should make sure you use a wormer that will kill liver flukes. I know that ivomec plus will kill liver flukes but not sure about the others mentioned.

    Anybody use Vita ferm minerals?

I was using the mineral but being in the climate down here in South Texas with rain, or use to, the card board container would come apart and the cows would spread the mineral over the pasture. I ask the dealer about getting it in a plastic container and never heard any thing so quit throwing...

How to protect fertilizer spreader from rust?

You might try to put some of that roll on bed liner. The feed store I get my fertilizer from put that on their spreader and it has held up well the last 3 years.

    Which Chainsaw

I have had a Stihl MS280 for about 5 years now and it is not what I expected as far as problems I have had with the saw. I have had to replace the bearing on the clutch 3 times now and when the bearing goes it takes out the clutch and the automatic oiler also. The last time the shop told me it...

Electric golf cart for farm use?

I have had an electric golf cart for about ten years now and bought it used. It is a 1992 Club Car model and does have the lift kit installed. In the ten years I have had it I have replaced the batteries twice. The first time the batteries that came with the cart only lasted about one year...

Best time of day to spray weeds?

Like hillrancher I spray in the morning when the wind is less than 3 MPH and will get good absorption in the weed.

    HOLY COW, fertilizer prices today

Bought 2 tons of 18 6 12 for 445/ton yesterday. Normally put out 300 lb/acre but this year, like a lot of people, cut back to 200 lb/acre.

    fence across a creek

I saw one similar to what T-Bro described except this one had a 4" PVC pipe attached to the bottom of the panel, capped on both ends, and floated on top of the water. As the water rose the PVC stayed on top of the water and the panel, being hinged on both ends, swung out with the flow of the...

    Getting Rid of Skunk Smell?

Limomike has posted the recipe that I have had to use 3 times on my dog. Don't laugh she is a slow learner but it really does work.

    ford 6610 tractor

One problem with the 6610's is that they had a weak front end. There was no way to grease the tie rod ends and they eventually wore out. With the front end loader I would pay close attention to the front end.

    grass.

I know that Plateau will kill centipede and carpet grass and not hurt the bermuda grass but not sure about bahia. Plateau will stunt the bermuda grass for about 4 weeks so you will miss one hay cutting.
