    Definition of Feeder cattle?

    CNBC says "feeder" cattle are trading at 0.94. What does "Feeder" mean? A rancher friend said he could sell me just weined angus calves for $1.10 lb. Are they more expensive because they are angus or because they are calves and not big enough to be feeders yet? Also what are "Live cattle"
