If it was me I would try to feed her on grain till then. Not enough time for my preference, but I've had to do in in that time frame once before. The processor recommended that I pull of off pasture so she wouldn't be eating wild onions this time of year.

The funny thing is this cow was purchased through a Hereford influence sale that is supposed to be just for calves with 50% or more white face and only British breeding. In the group she was in there was an obvious braford too. I didn’t mind they both made great cows but they didn’t grade them...

She has in the past been bred to registered black Angus bulls some AI and she typically has a black or very dark but a brownish tint. She has even had one black calf mottled face and white on udder and flank with sone red brindle from an Angus.

This is her last years 13 month old steer calf, going to use him for a beef this fall.

We have our own beef so we eat pretty good lots of times at home. We have laying hens so we eat a lot eggs. I try to raise a garden too. It’s so expensive to eat out we try not to do that much. Our town doesn’t really have a lot of options outside of fast food chains and Mexican restaurants. So...
