Cons: 1. Too damn hot in the SE US in April --normally. 2. Bulls shut down when it gets too hot and so does his fertility (unless he's a Gert) 3. Folks are eating hamburgers every weekend in the Spring and Summer months -- no BBQ's normally in November. 4. A drought in the last of May in the SE...

Some of these replies are a little harsh -- but why dont you just go buy a good registered bull (breed of your choice) and be done with it --- your herd bull represents your future -- junk plus junk always equals more junk --- where ya from? JS

I think I would just wait and see if you can catch them in a natural heat rather than juicing them with Lutalyse again. I prefer Estrumate -- I have a little better luck with that it seems. Also, get ya some patches and apply them to their rump, which will give you a heads up for heat detection...

I do think they are going to change it --- back in January when the new data came online; I was doing some plan matings and saw where the offspring from 3/4 + PB was coming to 7/8's-- then mysteriously ASA stopped putting up the offsprings percentage or PB. So, I figured they were going to roll...

Legacy has been way over used to the point of way past inbreeding in some cases. Legacy was good in HIS DAY 1999+. Mainly it has been the overuse of Hooks Shear Force, CNS Dream On, which both go back to Legacy 151. Here is a prime example >>...
