    Sealing stock tank?

Polyurethane roofer's caulk/adhesive sticks to everything and lasts forever. It comes in caulk gun tubes for easy application. Just bring disposable gloves and an old credit card to spread it around. Asphalt based products do not do well under water long term.

Patches of hair missing & flakey skin

If you use a pour on ivermectin product for worming, it will also control lice/mange in my experience.

So what is this on the trail camera?

Bobcat for sure. Have taken many in my younger years. IR night pics do not display color or shading the same as daylight pics.

What would you pay for trenching.

I remember the good ol days when I could buy dynamite over the counter at the local gun dealer. Used an old truck inner axle to drive a hole a couple feet deep at a time. About a 1/4 stick, packed in with thick mud and covered with a round bale of weeds would shatter everything and then the...

    Grafting a calf

I have had very good success by rubbing vanilla extract on the cows nose and lip area and lightly all over the calf. My Vet gave me this trick and I must say, it works better than anything else I have tried. Plus it's quick and cheap.

What would you pay for trenching.

I would do it myself. If you are sure there is no rock then rental would run anywhere from $110 to $220 for walk along and compact tractor trenchers. If you run into rock and have to go slower then add 50% to the rental cost. I did my own line a couple years ago for $160 for a mini excavator...

    Hauling baler home

Loads exceeding 8.5 feet wide are considered oversize and require a state permit. Roll the dice and stay off common Highway Patrolled routes. I would tow after greasing the bearings...a 20-30 min job.

    At it again............more gun laws

Absolute wrong timing to buy. It will swing the other way down the road....be patient.

    Ice

Ponds frozen several inches and 150 gal tanks are frozen solid top to bottom. Switched to bucket and tubs that can be drank down completely or almost so. That way they are much easier to clear of ice before refilling if that is needed at all. So far they are drinking fast enough that they...

    Ice

Well I can tell you first hand that in the 20's they freeze firmly in the ice in stock tanks. You can give them a good push downward and they will pop loose but as far at cattle or horses pushing them down easily, it isn't happening with gallon bleach bottles. I placed 3 in a 150 gal tank and...

    Rural Internet Options

Well it depends on what you are wanting to do online. If you are just emailing, visiting forums and looking at market reports then your data plan smart phone can hotspot at no additional cost or, you can do all of that directly from your phone. You can also stream low resolution blurred...

    Losing a first calf cow

I've gone in armpit deep many times and favor finding the lower jaw to get the body turned then fish the forefeet to the nose, by starting at the elbow, before pulling them out. That has worked for me every time.

    Favorite fishing hole?

SE Kansas strip pits, Neosho River, Spring River, Grand Lake of the Cherokees, my farm ponds. I grew up fishing and have never stopped.

    Ice

20% salt by weight will take the freezing point down to 2 F. Going much over 20% will cause crystals to form and just waste the extra salt. So use 1 lb salt to 2 quarts of water (4 lbs water). Use a measuring cup and add just slightly under 1 cup of rock salt or table salt to get 1 lb.

    Grader blade or Box scraper

I've seen box blades that can pivot 180 degrees to serve as an angle blade on the back side of the box. They have two separate blades and already have enough weight to angle grade effectively. One looked factory and another was made with plate steel added to a heavy duty pivoting grader...
