    Registered cattle

We have both the International Beef Cattle Registry and the International Dairy Cattle Registry. This year 2023 we are celebrating 10 years of service to the dairy and beef industries. The process of registering cattle, the information should be complete and accurate and not be just a piece of...

    Knee replacement.

Had read where exercise is supposed to be good for helping the knees, but it didn't help. I was bone on bone. Knee was hurting terrible. Had a shot put in which was supposed to last 3 months. Saw an ad on TV for stem cell therapy for knees. They had a free consultation so went to check it...

    Shorthorn Breeding

It seems that many breeds are in trouble for finding pure genetics. The Shorthorn breed is over 370 years old, the breed has been used in the development of over 40 breeds (both dairy and beef). Finding 100% genetics today keeps getting more and more difficult as so many breeders have been...

    840 Tags

With the 840 tags, there are many fairs that require animals to have an 840 tag in order to enter and show. We use the 840 tag numbers as registration numbers. Some still want us to assign a registration number and list the 840 number on the papers. (our papers have several more fields for...

    Gyr Cattle

The Gyr does originate from India. There are several different strains of Bos Indicus animals in India and many of them are are in such low numbers that some are fearing extinctions. This has happened because of so much western genetics being used on them in India. The are also a lot of Gyr...

Since country music is pretty much dead........

What they try to pass as country music today isn't. Gone are the days when the artists and their bands were dressed nicely. I listen mostly to SiriusXM to Willie's RoadHouse, Prime Country and Outlaw Country. But, the problem is that if a new artist comes along that plays traditional country...

    Skunk

My Dad had miniature mules, that he showed at many fairs throughout Missouri and Illinois. He had some back issues and it bothered him using a tractor but he could ride horse drawn equipment, which wasn't all bad as this is how we worked them, we think it made them better for the driving...

Cross Breeding Dairy Cattle for Longevity

Since we have been registering for over 8 years, International Dairy Cattle Registry, what are considered the "non-traditional" dairy breeds, Fleckvieh, Montbeliarde, ProCross (Holstein x Montbeliarde x Viking Red), North American Red ( breed developed in North America that is any of the...

    Waygu on Angus

Circle A probably has the most experience in crossing Wagyu on Angus. In their findings they found that animals that are 25% Wagyu will finish in the feedlot as efficiently as any other animal. But the thing with the 25% Wagyu influence is that a higher percentage of animals will finish in the...

    269 New Holland. It lives!!

I had a 269 hayliner twine tie, loved it. Did have to rebuild the knotter assembly once and pulled the plunger and replaced all of the bearings. We always ran NH square balers. The worst one we ever had was a 68 that had the wooden wad board, don't know how many of those we replaced.

    Pop up Ads

Is anyone else having ads show up between post titles. This is very annoying and I can't seem to get rid of them. To me it detracts from a website. I know that some of these ads if someone clicks thru on them there is a commission. I don't mid ads at the side, but to be on top of the...

    Lumber

I have seen several houses in the process of remodeling that back when they were built they have a lot of sawmill lumber. We have a local sawmill and we also have a local person that has a kiln that can dry it too. The prices are crazy and the quality of the lumber is terrible. Boards are...
