how many ranches or farms average 85 percent calf crop? THEY TELL ME THAT IS PRODUCTION EXPENSE BREAK EVEN.

shorthorn,would be almost like main-anjou. cross.might be straw colored,docked at sale barn.i still think BWF or brangus cross. or angus cows.would keep throught winter better. bluedog thanks.

i have crossed pieds with ,brangus,braunvieh,main-anjou,all crosses are good cows.they are a little hard to winter,the ones i have don't put on fat in summer,to help them through the winter.that said,i breed to limousin,with great looking calves.i think BWF would be an exlcellent cross. bluedog

for what it is worth,should bred heifers to easy calving bull,first time.at least-3 epd calving ease.after first calf ,then try some others.bluedog

you should breed some angus cows with it ,raise some real moma cows. some of my best cows is 1/2 braunvieh,they call it THE GOLDEN CROSS,out west. blue dog

when you cross pied. with angus,you only get 1copy muscle,but still get tender genes. does l94l not have tender gene?

is it a myostatin gene? like piedmontese,or belgium blue.that carry tenderness gene?

what is F49L gene? a muscling gene?
