The best cattle dog I've ever had was a pit bull/ American bulldog mix. Tug would chase the escapees through the gates and immediately stop and guard the gates until they were shut.
If you want to maximize her growth keep giving her bottles but stick some good calf feed in her mouth after every feed. She will figure it out. It's not the cheapest way to have a bottle calf but she will do better. Our occaisonal bottle calves are 4+ months old before we wean from milk.
Not bad numbers. Milk is high but if you have the feed for them keep some heifers and their calves should grow well. Only other number that is not in my range is marbling is lower than I like but not important if you're not keeping any for butcher.
Can you feed out the calf with the bad eye instead of selling it live? If you have butchers close and the feed to do it. You are going to get hit hard at an auction I think.
Can you mow your pasture to help control the weeds and encourage grass growth? With only a 3 acre pasture a riding lawnmower might even work if the pasture is pretty level.
