    Calf Down and Won't Try

Sell the wild ones as slaughter animals asap. Prices are good and then the crazy doesn't spread, aka the sane ones don't learn bad habits.

    Working dog,

The best cattle dog I've ever had was a pit bull/ American bulldog mix. Tug would chase the escapees through the gates and immediately stop and guard the gates until they were shut.

7 week old bottle calf won’t eat grain or hay

If you want to maximize her growth keep giving her bottles but stick some good calf feed in her mouth after every feed. She will figure it out. It's not the cheapest way to have a bottle calf but she will do better. Our occaisonal bottle calves are 4+ months old before we wean from milk.

    Bull’s Registry

Not bad numbers. Milk is high but if you have the feed for them keep some heifers and their calves should grow well. Only other number that is not in my range is marbling is lower than I like but not important if you're not keeping any for butcher.

    2025 Bull and Projects

Can you feed out the calf with the bad eye instead of selling it live? If you have butchers close and the feed to do it. You are going to get hit hard at an auction I think.

    Anaplasmosis

There is a snap rapid test for Anaplasmosis in dogs ( Heartworm 4dx). Maybe it would work for cows too? Ask your vet I guess.

Heifers can bag up and even spring a long time before calving. I say she has at least 2 weeks to go.

    Walleye bait

We use worms in the summer and frozen shiner minnows in the winter here. Hammered gold jiggs work well with both.

    Does anyone supplement with Riomax?

Can you mow your pasture to help control the weeds and encourage grass growth? With only a 3 acre pasture a riding lawnmower might even work if the pasture is pretty level.

    Chicken COOP

I would get some linoleum for the floor. It's much easier to clean that way. Put the roost bars up high so it's easier to clean under them.
