Her tongue looks a little too long to me. Is that a genetic defect in the Hereford breed? :)

She's just sticking it out at all those folks who just have the solid blacks or solid reds! It's cow sign language meaning "Ha! Ha! Ha! You haven't got any baby calves as cute as I am!" :tiphat:

I called with Mr Hathcock and he was ready to send in Spot Jr. registration. He did give me the registration numbers for Spot Jr's sire and dam which I've listed below.

Sire: HPH 6007 CARLOS PLATO N-15

Dam: HPH 6007 QUEEN CARLOS N-5

Thanks, Interesting breeding behind him, although I didn't officially start my herd till the early 90's I remember looking/hearing about Bob Crane at Rock Hollow and the RW Jones herds mostly from local breeders in the area, if we would have had access to information back then, like we do now with the internet, I might have chose a different direction to go in. I don't remember what happened to Rock Hollow, but I seem to remember hearing the Jones's lost the herd due to poor estate planning when the old man died in the 70's.

Thanks again, good reading. Doesn't sound like he suffered with any inbreeding depression. :) When I started, around here anyways, Victor's were known to be more a maternal line that lacked the necessary growth. Most if not all of my first purchases were Victor bred calves.

Here are some updated photos. Both calves out of first calf heifers. Heifer is one month old today, bull will be one month old tomorrow.
