Can anyone offer any input into Vermeers K series of balers? I can tell they weren't real popular, though I'm not sure if there's a reason? Its getting late in the year and I still haven't found a baler. There's a 604K within a couple hours away for a reasonable price, so I was thinking of taking a look at it. Just dry hay, and at less than 100 rolls a year right now I can't justify spending too much. I just need something I can count on, and get hay rolled up instead of unclogging a POS baler. Was hoping to come across an I or SI, but nothing close enough. The other option so far is a NH 678, but since I trailer most of my hay, the 4' wide bale would make it easier.

A lot of good feedback on the K....Most say a good baler and proper adjustments will fix problems. The K baler does have air bags so weigh that potential expensive problem.

Thanks for the info, I had done some searches for info like that but for whatever reason didn't come across any.

I had a 604K for about 10 years and I loved it. It was 10 years old when I bought it. Never had a problem with the air bags and it made a nice tight roll. They were made alot heavier than the balers of today.
