Urban Meyer fired.................

Help Support CattleToday:

Not really surprised. Things weren't looking good for him after he didn't travel home with the team after a loss to go have some bimbo grind on him at his bar while his wife was at home babysitting the grandchildren.….

If true he needed to go!

At the 40 seconds mark at the bar.......He hired known raciest staff, accused of kicking players etc. etc. etc.

Pete McCulley only made it thru the first 9 games of the '78 season with 49ers before being fired (he won only 1 game) and replaced by Fred O'Conner for the last 8 games. Fred also won only one game and was fired at the end of the '78 season.

Who replaced by Who? lol :)
pretty much 2 nobodies. Pete McCulley's 2 predecessors were (in order) Monte Clark and Ken Meyer. Those 2 at least, had a little success elsewhere before ending up in SF.

Meyer had coached and groomed both Joe Namath and Ken Stabler at Alabama when he worked for Bear Bryant.

Urban said he did not kick a player or demean his assistant coaches. A lot depends on the wording of the contract IMO. Khan may have a fight on his hands. I agree Attorneys will enjoy the extra pay sorting it out just like Chucky (Gruden) of the Vegas Raiders lawsuit. Khan has deep pockets as 60 mil is pocket change.
