Other than the color what are the differences between Red Angus and Black Angus?

This is a GENERAL statement but from what I've seen Red Angus breeders have tended towards more moderate frame and moderate milk. Maybe a touch more focus on maternity/fertility as opposed to growth and carcass. With that said it's much more important to look at details within each breed.

Agreed! Our registered red angus cows are shorter than our commerical reds & blacks...and better mothers. Personally I think red angus are more maternal breed than black angus. Most guys around here didnt use red angus bulls for feeder calves since they want females out of these red angus bulls.
