About 30 BLM protesters calling themselves Enough is Enough from Fort Worth and a few other confused souls came to a small town to protest a statue at the courthouse only to find about 500 locals that were not going to have any part of it. Don't think the locals were as much concern about the statue as they were concerned about an outside group demanding of them what to do, property damage, and letting this bunch get something started in this small town. Both sides were armed and there were a few skirmishes, but no one was shot. Accounts of this chaotic scene vary from the source of reporting.

From videos, in addition to the 500 anti-protesters, there appears to have been present police, sheriff department, state troopers, and state police. This protest was shut down after the two groups got together and were forced from the courthouse area. The protest group complained that the police didn't protect them. This is some crazy bs that was instigated by a small group of out of town radicals, and a few locals (my understanding this was announced and organized on social media). Never thought it would happen in this little town.

This was at the major intersection of north/south and east/west thoroughfares in the center of town at the courthouse. If a bunch of dumbwits are blocking the road or highway your driving on what would you do? Turn around, honk and keep going, or stop and take a chance of who knows what.

I watched part of it as it was happening. There was what appeared to be black man in a cowboy hat toting the Confederate battle flag. I was wondering why he hadn't been crucified by the media.
People are sick of this crap.

While Portland and Seattle burn there has been a number of cases here in the PNW where protesters have been met by locals. In all those cases the protesters decided it was safer to protest in the big cities. They are relatively sure that a big city cop isn't going to shoot them. Well armed local citizens..... they are so certain that they wont shoot. Of course the news media doesn't want to tell those stories.

Although the breakdown of the family unit, easy divorce etc has made a significant contribution to todays problems in the western world IMO.
