My car started missing recently so we took it in and they said it needed plugs and one coil replaced. Can you imagine, after only 127,000+ miles and it needed new plugs? I think I will call Lincoln and complain. ;-)

They used to clean plugs with a little sand blaster-every garage had one now they won't do it =cheap plugs from Taiwan etc

I just started driving my dad's 1995 Chevy 3/4 ton and it has 145,000 miles on its original plugs..... changed them last weekend and man were they shot. Seems like it starts much much easier and is getting better mileage .... sometimes my dad can be stubborn and has the philosphy that if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I use that same philosphy. When the car developed a miss the plugs got changed. They worked fine before then.
